The Colors Of The Rainbow

And no I am not talking about this rainbow community.

I am merely referring to those who (for whatever amusing reason) are fixated on one particular color.

Since we all remember ROYGBIV from science class, I guess we will start in that order.

The Red community seems to be a popular group (1047 members and climbing) who explain why red is such an important color.

Life, Love, Happiness, Danger, Passion...Red symbolises em all! n yeah...duznt everything look better whn its Red:p

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your view) Red has been taking over by the silly word game that seems to have infected virtually every community that I have visited. It's all their fault.

The Orange community (boasting 697 members) has an interesting poem to greet its visitors.

ORANGE
A way of life .. A life itself
A way to see .. An eye itself

If Orange is your thing, then this is the community to join, although the "In Bed" word game (which has also infected Red) seems to be the favorite post of the hour. Sigh.

Moving on to the Yellow Community, (which has 229 members and fortunately lacks the dreaded word game) one will find some interesting posts. Simone thinks the color yellow equals intelligence while Nayyar thinks the color makes people fight (it does?). More discussions on the meaning of yellow can be found here.

The Green community (132 members) thinks their color is number one with Sergio giving the best answer for any color group thus far.

Green is the beaty of the nature, a thing it is why we all love green.

And we are just sons of her.

ROY-G...B for Blue! The Blue community is not only huge (with 3050 members and growing) but they are also on topic (a very hard thing to do in any community lacking heated debates, which is probably why the word game is so popular). Sascheen explains the meaning of blue by posting:

According to recent studies, blue is the color of tranquility, the color of the sea and the sky, is both the color of peace and the color of royalty. Its calming effects make it the color of choice for hospital nurseries. If blue is your favorite color, you crave harmony. You are capable, sensitive and make an outstanding friend! You are cautious in your manner of dress and conscientious at whatever you're working on. So who ever associated this colour with the blues was sure mistaken!

Another member asks, "What's blue to you?" while elsewhere the users correctly show how to play the word game in relation to ones community.

There are no Indigo or Violet communities (and no, these don't count) although there is a purple one (666 members) which, like blue, is engaged in a color word game.

Although not in the rainbow, it appears that black is the most popular color community out there, boasting 22,735 members (while its opposite, white only has 99). The owner of the black community has received a lot of complaints, as it seems to have been the target of racism and other trolls. I wonder why that is? Hmm...
