What Is Orkut?

Updated on 8/11/06 for clarity (as well as links)

Your probably wondering "What is Orkut" and why should I join? Well, here is a brief description from Orkut's teaser page.

[O]rkut is unique, because it's an organically growing network of trusted friends. That way we won't grow too large, too quickly and everyone will have at least one person to vouch for them.

If you know someone who is a member of orkut, that person can invite you to join as well. If you don't know an orkut member, wait a bit and most likely you soon will.

For those of you who have stumbled upon this site Orkut is a forum community owned by Google, which allows people to discover friendships, contact future business partners, and for the desperate, find the next mate.

You can also create and manage your own forums, or simply join the ones already established.

This weblog will chronicle what happens inside these blue walls, from the reasonable to the ridiculous, revealing that the community forums are much more active than many users think.

If one is seeking invites, this weblog is offering them FOR FREE (as long as you are human that is) and if you are desiring a ticket inside Orkut let me know and I'll let you in.

Since everyone needs a friend member of Orkut, I don't understand why someone would join without having one.
You sounds like a "breach" in this network, or whatever it is.
