So Which Orkut Hacks Still Work?

With the recent changes by the Google team, many of you may have noticed that several Firefox or GreaseMonkey hacks (as well as some Orkut software) are no longer working.

Several of you have been emailing me / scraping me with problems related to these hacks in general. Although I am not an expert on these hacks, here is a partial list of hacks that no longer work within Orkut.

• On-Off: This GreaseMonkey hack (also known as the Orkut Online Status Indicator) is no longer working inside Orkut.
  
  The good news is that Google may be working on something similar (along with Orkut chat). The bad news is this may take awhile since the Orkut team is probably focused on improving Joga and testing out Ad Sense within Orkut.



• Orkut Scrapper 1.0: This Orkut hack was destined (in my honest opinion) to become the number one Orkut hack, overthrowing Orkut Cute from the top position (not an easy program to defeat).
  
  Unfortunately Google's recent changes have disabled this hack, although Binny (the creator) is promising a launch of Orkut Scrapper 2.0 fairly soon.



• Other GreaseMonkey Hacks: Other hacks not working are Album Zoom, Find Messages, and Unlimited Yes | No Friends. A more detailed list can be found over at Orkut.ya.st.

This is just a partial listing, and if any of these hacks come back to life, I'll post them here on this site.
