This week marks Google's eighth birthday!
Google has been a blessing to the internet, and whether you love them or hate them Google has changed cyberspace in a way that few companies ever will.
For those who are fans, today is a day to thank Google and highlight what they have done for you. (and if you are not, well, you can always use Yahoo! or the evil MSN search)
I would like to thank Google for creating:
- Gmail (the greatest email service bar none)
- Orkut (the current and upcoming version)
- Google Calendar (to organize my day)
- Google News (to keep me informed)
- Google Maps (so I won't get lost)
- Google Video (for hours of laughter)
- Froogle (because you can't find everything on Ebay)
And I would also like to thank Google for buying out:
- Picasa (so I can touch up my photos)
- Blogger (giving me a voice on cyberspace)
- Writely (a place to save my "works")
- Google Earth (so I won't get lost overseas)
- Google SketchUp (so I can design a house...and a space elevator too)
But last I would like to thank Google for creating Ad Sense, which will help pay for some (future) hosting bills. ;)
Note: I may be a little light on posting today and tomorrow, but I should be back to "normal posting" next week.
