Aka'Diabolic (in the Archaeology and Religion forum) asked whether there was proof that Noah's ark was in Turkey. Several posts later, Andre makes an interesting statement.
Noah's ark was actually a spaceship put in orbit around the earth which contained DNA samples males and females from the majors species of animals.
The Bible/Torah says in Genesis 7:17:
'The ark was LIFTED ABOVE the earth'
Clearly says above the earth, not 'on' the water
The spacecraft had 3 sections:
'You shall build it in stages, the lower, the second, and the third' Genesis 6:16
I found his view to be amusing, although I did look up his references to see where he was coming from. Meanwhile Aka'Diabolic, Ziyad and Roberta (before her profile was hacked) give sarcastic replies expressing doubt.
The discussion gets a little interesting later on, (or boring, depending on your view of faith) with everyone trying to validate their holy text.
