I have just recently noticed that Google changed the homepage image. The previous included some Googlers, although I wonder if these are random individuals fairly active on Orkut or mysterious Googlers we have yet to encounter.
Any guesses?

Have you tried looking at the profiles of the orkut engineers who have posted to the Google blog?
I was expecting this to happen sooner or later. Orkut is facing a lot of competition recently from Indian social networking sites like Yaari, who are in no way different, but simply using the fact that orkut is American whereas they are Indian.
orkut needs to put in Indian and Brazilian faces on the homepage to show who their users are

actually u must have noticed tat these pics have changed over time. as there where some other pics ages ago thats when orkut had just started and was not so popular like its now... first i thought they must be some ppl from google itself. but as these reports or blogs are coming in i think google must have choosen ppl who had gud profile pic and have put their pics.
for that said decrease of orkuts popularity i must say that even as more million social networking sites open orkut will remain the king at the top n google too

Divya is friend of sanjay and ram (both are in google)...are chinese girl is in google......that beautiful brazilian gal is also frm google.....samvita another indian is frnd of sanjay.....
