Yes sir! but you might wanna make sure and wait for another person to confirm my answer as I am unsure. Better yet, why don't you e-mail the Medifast guys because they can give you an answer better...

Karot..
These sound great! One question, is that 2 single dates, or 2C?.
Thanks, I'm gonna make some!.
Ursula..
I found a brand at Whole Foods called Lets Do Organic organic coconut unsweetened. It says zero grams of sugar, no sulfates or preservatives, 100% natural. On the back of the package the ingredients say Organic coconut (shredded & dehydrated). I called them up & asked them what temp they dehydrated it at & they said between 90 degrees to I think 100-105 degrees..

The bag I bought was green all over..
Hope it is ok that I posted this brand. I know sometimes one can get excited about a Medifast recipe & want to make it that day insted of when the shipment comes in...
That's 2 single dates..
With all that honey, you don't need that many dates!.
Got mine going now..
There's other ingriedents that you can add to it to make them other flavors..
I've only added lemon to make lemon macaroons..
Going to try the strawberry and chocolate today as well..
Here's the other variations...
Variations:.
Instead of vanilla, blend....
- 3 strawberries for Strawberry Coconut Macaroons.
(or "Coco Berry Macs" for kids).
- 1/2 orange (juiced) for Orange Coconut Macaroons.
(or "O' Coco Macs" for kids).
- 1/4 lemon (juiced) for Lemon Coconut Macaroons.
(or "Le Coco Macs" for kids).
- 1/2 Tbl Carob Powder for Chocolate Coconut Macaroons.
(or "Choco Coco Macs" for kids).
- 1 Tbl almond butter or 1/4 c. chopped almonds for Almond Coconut Macaroons (or "Nutty Coco Macs" for kids).
Hey, I wonder how this would work making a huge batch and freezing them until time to use them? Like if I made them now for Thanksgiving? Do you think they would freeze well and then rethaw and dehydrate well?..
Hey, Honeybee, thanks for posting about that..
Although I don't have a Whole Foods here!.
And glad to see your avatar up. It's nice knowing who I'm talking too!..
Honeybee,.
That is the same brand that I use and I have been very happy with it. I have used another brand before too and it's been great, but I like the texture or size of thier flakes the best!..
Do you think agave nectar would work well in place of honey?..
Rawadventures,.
I have tried to make these macaroons, however, it has been 10 hours at 105 degrees and they are still sticky on the outside. I have rotated the treats so the the sticky side will be on the top and dry, but then it somehow makes the once dry bottom sticky again. I know I followed the Medifast recipe correctly. Do you think I should have added more coconut to the mix? The mix tastes great but it too sticky and sweet to eat undehydrated. If you have any tips or ideas of why it is taking longer to dehydrate, please let me know. Thanks for the recipe...
