I don't know...I use to be 5'10". Now I am 5'8"1/4. so you tell me......
And this is a documented doctors height, so you tell me....I always take my shoes off, so I know that is not the difference. If anybody else has answer?????..

I saw a Tyra episode in which an actor had had GBS and Tyra mentioned that the actor looked shorter than she remembered him and he said he was shorter. He said the only explaination that his doctors had was that he had a fat build up on his feet as well and when he lost weight.....he shrank. So I guess it is possible to be shorter after such a great weight loss...
MY SIS HAD HER GBS 3 YRS AGO AND SHE TOLD ME HER BUTT HURT HER WHEN SHE SAT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME, BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T HAVE AS MUCH PADDING AS SHE USED TO LOL!!! I'VE NOTICED WHAT LITTLE PADDING I HAD HAS SUDDENLY DISAPPEARED AND I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SO IF YOU CAN.

My feet were never fat, ALWAYS were bony! So it will be interesting if I lose height. I do know that it seems more men, but a lot of people have weight in their head too... So if your head shrinks then you'd lose hight too!..
Ever think of measuring your height? could be optical illusion from smaller frame.....
Yup, I'm 19 mos out and have shrunk in areas I never dreamed I would. I dropped 2 shoe sizes, 1 ring size, and lost 1 1/2 inches in height..
What really pisses me off is all the cool shoes I can't wear anymore And my ring size is somewhere below a 5, which is makes it impossible to find rings without having them sized! My wedding ring swims around my finger even after sizing..

I heard as you loose the weight , you also loose fat around your spinal cord causing your spine to compress more therefore you loose some of your height. I suppose that could be part of it... who knows... I too did loose some height after my.

I was 5'1.5 when I started this. People have definately told me I look shorter....I'm gonna have to measure myself to see how tall I am now. I figured that when I was bigger....they were further away from me...and my size made me a presence in the room...but now that I"m smaller...my presence is not so overwhelming making them think I look shorter..
But now that I hear all of you....and your shrinking stories...I"m going to check... I sure.
