Got a quick question: Does anyone know of any good Dukan Diets to go on and lose alot of weight? Hoping for any answer. 2nd question I got is.. I had a fish dinner once a week while reducing - just because I like fish so much, we have so much fresh here in Oregon and most importantly, it is so good for your health I just could not walk away from it for 6 months. Here is one of my favorites:.

Baked halibut (bake in 500 degree oven til done; about 20 minutes per inch thick)..

- 4 ounces cooked = 1 serving (159 cal).

Steamed broccoli ( 2 servings worth).

Peach salsa (salad serving).

Sandwich thin, toasted lightly w/spritz ICBINB & 1T shredded parm divided between the two halves prior to toasting (in toaster oven or under broiler).

Peach salsa recipe:.

- 1 peach, diced.

- 1T Splenda sprinkled over diced peach; let set for about 10 minutes.

- 1 small diced tomato mixed into peach & Splenda.

- 1 T very finely diced shallot mixed in.

- 1 T SF apricot preserves mixed in very well.

Serve the peach salsa over 2T FF sour cream, use to flavor fish & steamed broccoli..

Halibut + sandwich thin = dinner entree.

2 servings broccoli = 2 veggie servings.

Entire recipe peach salsa = salad equivalent.

2T FF sour cream = I count this as my FF salad dressing..

This looks soooooo good. I was just drooling over halibut at the grocery store yesterdaybut at $16.99/pound, I'll have to pass. It's one of my favorite fish, but I can never find it at an affordable price. You guys can probably get it for a lot less out there, huh?..

WOW, that looks terrific!! YUM, thank you for posting!..

I'm not big on fish at home because I really don't know how best to cook it. But this looks so good and sounds so easy that I am definitely going to try it. Thank you for giving us all another one of your wonderful, creative meal ideas...

YUM! I usually make mango salsa, I never thought to try peach! I'll have to try that!!!.

Momofjandm- you could really do this with any fish I would think. Halibit is wonderful, but just go with what ever is the freshiest fish and cost prohibitive. These days I just use wild salmon because I can get it in the Walmart freezer case and it's frozen in single serve packets so it's easy to thaw out just one or two. I believe that they have halibut like that too! Check out the freezer case. In fact I may look for halibut next time I'm there!! I really love tilapia, but I have high cholesterol as it is so I can't eat it it...

I'm sure part of the problem was that I was at Harris Teeter....

Not the cheapest groceries in the world. But I do have lots of fish I could try it with. I just looooooove halibut. LOVE it. I may splurge and just buy 1 piece for JUST MEdefinitely cheaper than a restaurant, and this looks so good...

Wish you lived close to meI've got a freezer full of halibut and salmonwe go to Alaska fishing every summerI'm always giving people fish. My husband and I eat quite a bit of it...

Sue I'll be right over!!!.

Stephanie I went to Walmart tonight and they do have the Halibut in the freezer case that looked beautiful, but it's still pricy. It was like 9.99 for a 12oz package. There's a few servings in the bag though (each individually frozen) so it's not too bad when you look at it that way...

I love Walmart fish, lol!! It sounds so disgusting...pre NS, I never would have bought fish from Walmart, but it's great for our protein servings. The salmon and tilapia are delicious. Also, the shrimp and scallops are really good! Who knew..

Well, at $16.99 a lb a 4 oz piece is only $ 4.25.

You can feed 4 people their fish entree for only $16.99.

- it's when you let them eat twice what they need for nourishment that it gets too spendy..

I'm unemployed..

I normally feed 4 people a WHOLE MEAL for about $8. Sooo...maybe just me...

Sorry - I didn't know. Then it is a bit pricey - but I agree, definitely cheaper than splurging & going out. Last time I looked Costco had swordfish (frozen) and that is really good particularly on the grill. And I think they have frozen salmon fillets as well..

The key to cooking any fish in the oven is to preheat the oven to 500 degrees. Rule of thumb is 15 minutes per inch or just until the fish is no longer translucent. If you trust the temp & check it after 10 minutes it's pretty foolproof...

Great. Now I'm going to be thinking about swordfish all night. I do love swordfish. Well, most any fish but swordfish is one of my favs...

Im in school, so I'm difficult to employmy schedule is so annoying. But it's not the end of the world. Just can't really justify that much for the whole family. But if I just buy the little 4 ounce piece for me...and tell them it's "diet food"....

They'll never know!..

That peach salsa is fantastic on any fish, even salmon!..
