There's nothing wrong with drinking except the calories and the new responsibility that come when you try to drink with an altered digestive system..

My policy was if you need to round the corners, use medicatiions that don't compete for your limited calories. As long as you're still in the mid 200's I recommend never drinking a calorie..

I assure you though it's probably not the alcohol as much as the stuff you eat when you're in that mode. If you stay with the program, water and feed your big body well, you be back on track in notime..

Good luck.

I think your weightloss so far is magnificent. In my personal opinion that is a big enough motivator for me not to jeopardize my efforts. Just because they gave you the clearance does not mean that it should be consumed with no moderation. This is something that should be done socially or once in a while. (This is coming from someone who could at one point tear up a bottle of blackberry merlot.).

If you have been cleared to work out I would recommend trying that on for size. That way it could change up your routine and your doing something that will benefit you and your health and not necessarily thinking about wine. Usually if it's out of sight it is out of mind- -stop purchasing it. If you feel you do truly have an addiction to alcohol maybe you can seek guidance from a counselor at your program or AA..

I wish you the best of luck and I know you will be seeing bigger weight loss in the near future. You will get what you put in hun..

Best Wishes,.

My alcoholism started with wine. If you feel the need to drink, I suggest you seek out an AA, or OA meeting in your area. At least listen and see what you learn about yourself..

Right now, getting the emotional issues balanced are far more important than weight loss, although there is no reason you can't do both. Good Luck!..

Masimini25, I was told no alcohol for a year! I would definitely nix the wine, since it is just empty calories. Focus on your proteins and water. Most doctors say 64 oz of water a day. I drink Propel, it is very satisfying. Also, maybe try a protein shake to fill you up. I couldn't take the horse pills either, so I went to the Bariactric Advantage website and got raspberry flavored.

Calcium.

Chews and a chewable multivitamin tablet. I have a B12 tablet that you melt under your tongue once a week. I got that at Walgreens. I do wish you the best of luck to stay on track!..
