I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an useful answer. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably could give you an answer..
Namenut, sounds like you've got the inside trek to getting some hot electronic names first :-) I have a lot of Q's... I'd like to see the value rise...
Hmm... just because it's in a lot of places doesn't mean it's worth something... I'd say a vowel like "a" is used more. But hey, you probably know more about it than me.
I'll be waiting for those details...
I think they have the word mark already though. There are several MotoQ names available, but we all know what'll happen if we reg those.....

( RW wanders off to see if qtalk.com and qforums.com are taken..... )..
Yes....i have know this for a while, that "Q" would be hot!.
Most products branding the letter, won't have a meaning for it either!.
It will be "Q" and the product or the product then Q..
I won't give examples, cause I do't want to give you guys any ideas!..
Q - from Bond movies. Albert Brocolli should get the credit......
I'm going to hold off on buying up a bunch of "q" till I learn more about it...
And guess who doesn't own them..
Ok y'all got me.
QAccessories-com.
QPhoneAccessories-com.
MotoQAccessories is reg'd and not by Motorola.
Having trouble, hands trembling, sweat is running cause MotoQ-us is in the cart and hand poised over the mouse...
..... it could pay off, who knows? Good Luck Hark...
How about Q from Star Trek?.
I read somewhere the Q in MotoQ comes because of the QWERTY keyboard. If one has the $$$ to do it the Q can be a powerfull branding element. Anyone ever hear of Qwest, Qmobile?.
BTW I been looking at this for a week or so and undecided about doing to much. Will be no Ipod but for those that like the latest whizbang mobile device.....
Law? Really, I didnt know that... I guess you learn something new everyday..
Wow! So funny this thread came up...I just registered my first "Q" HostGator yesterday..
I was watching Dr.Phil and he was talking to some woman who was having trouble understanding men and he said something to the effect of "You really need to improve your Guy-Q"..
Nice play on "IQ",so I registered Guy-Q.com.Thanks Dr.Phil!..
I guess the term NDA doesn't ring a bell? neither the fact that namenut works for one of the conference designers to whom vendors outsource booth design/etc...
..but I guess you learn new stuff even every night..
Heh, I have loved the Q for some time, just look at my sig.....
There is no disputing, that along with the other 'lesser' letters, that Q is less easy to use within an acronym..
However, personally I have always liked it, it looks great. I have always thought the letter 'X' is the best 'looking' letter of all and along with 'Q' I reckon it gives a company a very contemporary look and feel..

For a new company, just looking for a short HostGator to represent it on the net, rather than paying premium prices for a top LLL combo it makes a lot of sense to save thousands and grab a HostGator such as Q4.net or QLX.com..
Moral of the story: Don't completely disregard the runt letters in the LLL domains. I remember selling oqk. com for $400 2 1/2 years ago (and made a decent profit!) when it would be $1250-1750 now probably...
Actually the HostGator King himself (Rick S.) heavily disagrees w/commercial use of .net and I have to also agree.. almost 100% of the time the .com will always steal traffic from a .net..
[quoet]??.
We're talking about the letter 'Q' here.[/quote].
Just getting little out of topic,.
Anyway, nice to her ethis about q, because I own a LLL.com with q!..
