My 1st question is: How do I replace my iWeb design on GoDaddy with my new Adobe Flash design? Thanks in advance for any response. Another question I got... “Allowing your audience to vent is not SOP [standard operating procedures] in a name announcement, and also telegraphs that Nintendo knows what a stinker this name would be.” He also says “It’s not possible to engineer a worse name for this product.”.

Nintendo Wii: Expect The Unexpected.

Wii have some theories.

Of course, as we mentioned before, the other big piece of info related to this is the fact that the name has not been trademarked yet either in Japan or USA. I really don’t know what to think of this…but apparently the situation is weird enough to make a big wig a this company call foul. Thanks to Gary for the info..

Well I have just gone and checked UPSTO for Trademarks on WII and there at 10 of them all belonging to NINTENDO.

Serial Number Reg. Number Word Mark Check Status Live/Dead.

1 78870906 WII TARR LIVE.

2 78872928 WII TARR LIVE.

3 78870897 WII TARR LIVE.

4 78870894 WII TARR LIVE.

5 78870889 WII TARR LIVE.

6 78870885 WII TARR LIVE.

7 78870880 WII TARR LIVE.

8 78870874 WII TARR LIVE.

9 78870871 WII TARR LIVE.

10 78870869 WII TARR LIVE.

So these rumors are trash Sorry to have wound you all up.

Unless of course the trademark regs are also just a ploy to throw everyone off the scent...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably could assist you..

LOL, I predict a significant increase in "bargain" wii domains showing up in the sales thread!..

Please look at the date of the articles guys: Apr 28th 6:49 pm CDT.

The name WII is here to stay already and has been discussed in periods way after above date that it is the final name of their Console..

They also have presented the WII console on the E3. I don't really think this will be changed into another name..

E3..

LOL.

But the lucky fellows will already have their domains cleared out for some good deals though! The rest will suffer!..

Nobody will suffer. The name WII is not going to be changed..

Yeah, sorry I think this is b.s. Yeah it's a crummy name at first site, but it's created a huge fuss. There's no such thing as bad publicity or so they say. Wii, as bad as the name is, is here to stay..

P.s. I own wiimad.com and it won't be turning up in any bargain threads I can tell you that...

There are oddsmakers for every event now (The theory that the masses are usually right), and the line has been steadily moving farther towards "fake"....

Not saying that they are right in this case, but the average of collective opinion usually pans out!.

Boy, if that was true, talk about some p'eed off domainers...

I always had a doubt about the name. Something just wasn't right about the way it was released. We'll see though..

/me waits for the argument to break out about whether it's real or not...

I always suspected as much. It's great publicity for them to do something unusual like this..

I bet people that have sold wii domains for high prices are glad they cleared them out before this came about...
