Got a quick question: How do you get files off of godaddy.com using FileZilla? Looking forward for any response. Second question of mine... For PeakTower.com. My problem is Im having some trouble comprehending this dudes voice. I also have the name regged at 1and1.com which I hope doesn't pose a problem. I placed PeakTower.com for sale here, but was wondering if it's better to just hold off and try to get some kind of translator to work this mess out.

I need you guys..

I didn't know PeakTower was a famous tower in Hong Kong. And with the Overture and Google now I see why. Guess I lucked up. But with 1and1.com, i'm shaking in my bone. Also, what is a good price to haggle Bingae (i think) for?..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably could answer your Godaddy question..

Australia is right on target, maybe even more..

If you have never been to Hong Kong 'The Peak' is the must visit destination, the tram takes you up The Peak for a the best vista of the worlds most breathtaking skyline..

Apparently Peak Tower is undergoing massive rennovation at present, including the Madame Tussaurds Museum so I guess thats why they want the domain..

If you haven't already checked it out take a look at.

There are some Hong Kong members here at Name Pros so I'm sure you will get some more assistance..

Be Lucky..

OMG~. So guys I'll just call him. Tell him to converse via email. And say I take any offers over $100,000. Is that too much considering I was asking $150 (lol) here!..

It could go for a lot more than 10k and I even wouldnt be suprised to see it go for up to us$50,000..

Good luck with it but dont sell under 10k though.

Ill take it off your hands now for $150 if you want, just to save you the trouble of selling it..

Sorry Australia, but you can take it for $1000 take the hassle of selling it off of my hands. Other than that Im removing it from the auction sale here and will get on this matter asap! Thanks GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..

Definitely use escrow and take your time and get a translator if needed, not sure if you had it parked at GoDaddy or somewhere would they provide translation? I would think so but not sure?..

Would you seriously consider selling it to me for a $1000??..

You've got to assume it's the Peak Tramways Co. Hold out for some cash like the others say..

But remember, if it is Peak Tramways Co., they probably have a certain amount which is their limit, so don't be too greedy and lose a sell. However, if it's them, they should be able to afford more than $10,000..

Also, I just re-read your last post. Man.. don't be afraid of negotiation that's what this business is all about...

You guys really have alot of faith in the .com. Every extension is available including .cn and the .hkNot to rain on the parade but I believe the expectations are way off...

List at Sedo, contact GoDaddy and ask for an appraisal (you have to pay) and let them know the situation..

Then email them in Hong Kong and tell them to submit their offer through GoDaddy for mutual protection..

I'm sure GoDaddy will then help broker the deal because the more it sells the more commision GoDaddy earns, and that takes a lot of hassle off of your hands..

Not at all. It is a the top tourist destination in Hong Kong and a top world destination..

If I had a website for an International Tourist destination I would sure want the .com.

I guess that's why Hong Kong is so successful. They are not to tight to invest to be the best!!!..

You would think they would atleast invest in their own extension aswell if they are that gungho on the success...

I'm not sure we know exactly who is making the bidding at present. Maybe it is.

Or The Tramway. It could also be an independent Tour Operator...

Hmm I woundnt go as far as 100k.. but 50k is sure in reason..

Im away from home at the moment. My wife has called to tell me he's called several times, and wants the GoDaddy site asap..

I placed it for sale on Ebay and Hope that will boost negotiations, although I placed it for sale kinda low. Hell an American purchase will make this easier to sell anyways I think. I hope this was a good move! Thanks for all the help guys...

Just a thought are there any TM issues associated with it??..

It is a cracking view up there on a good day.

Good luck with a decent sale, I would of thought $10,000 to $15,000 would be a great price to get for it as it does'nt appear to get any type in traffic at all and there are other cheaper options open to him..

Ps - If he's called several times just tell him to make his best offer and take it from there - you never know he may say $40,000..

Your deal, your choice how to play it, but if it were me I'd go slow..

My thinking:.

- If he's really hungry for it, it'll put more pressure on him..

- if he's pulling a scam of some sort/wasting time, he'll go away.

Best of luck..

Hmm so everyone is saying $10k plus yet BIN on ebay is $3500..

The value is determined by the buyer and not by the seller.

..

Anywayz, knowing it is the premium international name for a landmark and knowing there is an interested enduser I would invest $3500 without the shadow of a doubt, this is reseller value imo...

RonnieW,.

If this guy is for real, you are shooting yourself in the foot with a BIN. Why not just set that as reserve and see where it ends up?.

Anyway,.

That's all the advice I have. Good Luck with it. Hope you get a fair amount...

HK is the capital of capitalism and if you have a geniuine HK buyer then money is no object..

The Peak is "the" number one , must see , destination for visitors to HK ..

ThePeakTower.com has been regged since 1999...

I completely overlooked this, never even dawned on me to check "the" Peak Tower. Wouldn't that hurt the value a little, thus making my GoDaddy site more presentable. I know the age of that GoDaddy site beats mines by eons. Maybe I'll give ThePeakTower.com a lil.

Whoising.

!..

I see that. But it's still $500 on GoDaddy & Afternic. RonnieW can you not make up your mind? lol. Sorry just thought I'd share..

Does everyone think this guy is going to bid against himself? man, ronnie is getting some false hope here imo..

...well I'm in Hong Kong right now and it's too cold! The cloud prevents a decent view from the peak the last few days...anyway, the HostGator name is probably wanted by a condo developer is my guess. Most of the speculation in the thread so far IMHO is way over the top. I would ask for $1750 tops and settle at best possible down to $999. Good luck......
