My 1st question is: How does a renewal my web page (Godaddy domain name)that expires in August cost? Looking forward for any comment. My other question... Out of every 5 - how many - thats of course if you don't mind sharing this kind of info..

I have only recently started but the amount of expiring names every day makes me wonder..

I have already about 4 that I will let drop if I don't sell in the meantime..

Thanks all..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably could assist you..

Drop=$0.

Namepros auctions and other free forums there are no listing fees and the last I checked pushes were free so I'll take a few bucks a piece over nothing. Feel free to push all the domains you are gonna let drop and I'll make money on them...

I know, that all this is free (independend of the quality), but.

You miss the mayor factor: TIME.

So, spending in total 1 hr on a 2$ sale is a shure LOSS..

In the time you just responded to me you could have just listed a auction for $1 starting bid and maybe made a few bucks, bad time management...

Bad time management ? .

IMO, exactly the opposite..

But lets NOT hijack the thread.

PS: Listed YES, but not sold, comunicated, pushed, etc....

I let about 1% drop, usually bad typos, or free domains..

Out of 5? 0.05 domains..

Just messing with ya, time consuming yes, up to the seller if it's worth the effort to possibly make a few dollars or just let em drop, I have not let 1 drop as of yet, sell em cheap to get rid of them and even pushed a few to some friends that wanted them for free. Not a big time domainer so it's easier for me to keep an eye on expiration dates, probably 1,500-2,000 domains over the last 2 years have come in and out of my control...

I had a pretty good record until this year .... But it wasnt necessarily the quality of domains that caused me to let any drop , but rather the lack of Quality at some of the sites I took advantage of Free and discounted .Info's ....

- Some of them try to charge you for Tranferring out .... Not going to happen.

I'd say I'm letting about 30 Drop this year at least. I did manage to Transfer a few keepers though.

Yes I know exactly what U mean.

Or they conveniently forget/lose/misplace trasnfer requests until it is too late..

I have 8 dropping over next week , I will just try to re-register them.

If I can't ,no problems.

I don't play the registrar mind games..

All mine have only been regged this year so will hopefully sell before their drop time..

Why sell them for $1?.

Sell them for $5... thats 500% profit....

I bet you will always find those who'll buy it here...

I'm currently developing every HostGator I own so my answer to your question would be 0..
