What kind of issues are there with the default paypal?.

I've tested it a bunch of times and the orders are always there in the admin section(invoices) for me to process..

Should I expect problems or is there just a slim chance of them?..

I installed the contribution as you suggested and everything seems to be working fine. It was a bit of an intense affair but I managed. I'll await my next order to see how it goes..

The two main problems are if the customer does not hit the continue link after making payment to come back to your checkout success page the order will not be recorded in your admin so you get a notice from paypal but you have no idea what it is for. The second is a security issue, with the default module the customer has the ability to change the price that they get charged before they get to the paypal site, this is a huge problem if you sell any download products...

No problem, yes there is a lot to the install but the instructions are first rate and if you take your time it is not a problem. Another contribution you should think about is recover cart sales, I would not run a store without that one...
