My first question is How to create drop down Medifast menus in java script? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another question I got... Ok this might sound silly but here goes.. I was told that my pouch will hold about 1/4c of food?? I am starting to think not true hahah I have my allowed lunch dinner etc BUT still feel hungry? Is it my imagination? Now I don't feel hungry in the morning at all as a matter of fact the thought of eating something makes me sick.. I have my lunch drink water all day popsicles etc.. It's really in the evening that I feel hungry and having something liquid just doesn't cut it? I read about others who eat 1/4-1/2c of this or that and they are totally full ..So did my surgeon play a trick on me and give me a mammoth pouch LOL..

Surgery.

May 11th so why do I seem different?? Medifast food quantity wise that is? Any insights??..

All I can have right now is light cream soups, broth, cream of wheat or oatmeal, yogurt, no sugar pudding made with skim milk.. I can't have chicken etc yet maybe that's what it is then not enough denser protien.. I was to drink 3 protien shakes aday but couldn't get them in so they changed me to Beneprotien that I mix in with other things I start that today so maybe that will help?? At this rate of eating my gosh I feel like I should be dropping 10lbs a day hahaha..

I doubt you are actually feeling "hungry" .. the VERY VERY best advice I ever got was this.... "Do not make the mistake of associating the empty pouch feeling with that of hunger" I am over a year out and still do not feel any hunger because of this. The "head hunger" is something totally different that is just your mind trying to catch up with your body because it knows your old patterns of eating and misses the things you did (eat) when you were bored or sad... the list goes on. My surgeon told me he made my pouch the size of 2 thumbs and they do stretch some after healing..

Right now I can't eat ENOUGH to maintain a decent weight. Good Luck!!.

Hope.

This helps.. I have never felt "full" either.. that along with not ever feeling thirsty still baffles me.. it's hard to get used to not having those feelings anymore....

Your going to find that you will have days that you can eat ... and have no troubles..... BUT you will all so have days that you get sick on everything you eat ...... this trouble seems to hit everyone and there is really no reason for it or when it's going to hit you ......

We have the ability now to redefine what hunger feels like... Don't make the mistake of thinking the empty pouch feeling is hunger. I judge when I need to eat my looking at the clock..lol.. or if I feel a lil lightheaded from low blood sugar...

It's funny but I know I'm full when I sigh : )..

OMG.

Hope.

- you are the first person who has said this - I also sigh when I am full...it's like if I take one more bite my pouch will overflow..

I find that I eat just to get my protein in. I want certain things sometimes but very rarely am I hungry...

Right after my.

Surgery.

Someone put a question out here about if your pouch/stoma ever actually growls when it's empty and if you ever get hiccups. At the time, I thought...."wow, no my pouch doesn't growl at all when it's empty." The other day, it had been about 5 hours since I ate breakfast and I heard my pouch growl and I could instantly tell it was empty...not just head hunger, not gas, actual hunger. So, of course, I ate something and it went away but I was so surprised to really feel what I used to call hunger pangs....it took almost 8 months but obviously, it still tells me when I'm on empty. LOL..
