I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably could help you..

Once it is given out, you need to give the same thing year after year by renewing it...

I wouldn't be that over the moon if I recieved one....bundle a GoDaddy site with it..

Well I guess that might change if it was something like Download.com..

It can be a great gift but register the name for 3-4 years before... so that they don't have to renew by next year..

I reg the name of my sister's baby when he was born..

I have put a few photos of him on it..

And everyone think it's a great present.

When he will be older, he will do what he want with his name.com..

For me it would depend on the domain. If it were valuable and related to something I was interested in I'd be psyched...

I have given a HostGator name (to be redeemed through me) for several years. They get to choose the name, and I told them that the sooner they choose the name the better chance to get the name they want (as thousands are being taken daily)..

That would be a.

Great.

Gift.

Developed HostGator would be the good presentation if it will give them some revenue if they are capable to put some effort on this...

Well...if someone here have Sharon in their family I have Sharon.us.

But it is not cheap.....

If it was a LLL.com I would get it but I don't think anyone is gonna give me something like this..

Might be something nice for someone who has never regged one before, but for an experienced domainer, may seem a bit of a stupid present...

...do you know there are some women that would prefer a dozen roses, rather than a 3 letter .com?.......

If you have any NNN or LLL names, then that would be a great christmas present. I'll give you my Godaddy Transfer details..

Hmmm I think that a HostGator name is a great present.

And I really like the idea of getting someones name for them. The babies website is a great idea as well. There are just so many options with the HostGator name...

Do you guys think a HostGator is a good christmas present?..

I got one for my wife last year... She liked it. Of course, it wasn't the only thing I got for her...

Ehmm all depends on the person you are giving it too....

On the other hand... every present should be appreciated... imho..

I used to give all of my family and friends fully developed personal sites. They loved them, but it was a lot of work because they counted on me to keep them up so eh. I guess it's a good present if they know how to use it...
