Quick question: How to obtain DNS service for your Godaddy domain name? Many thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: I had to try it out!!!.

I have four different websites on.

One is for my promotion and the other three are HostGator names for sale. I think that selling HostGator names through the milliondollarhomepage might be good value for money as.

Unlike other forms of advertising, this one adds value.

To the HostGator name..

The better parts of the Godaddy homepage are running out and so people may be willing to pay a premium to have a HostGator name that is linked by one of the better parts of the page. I am just curious to see if anyone will want.

UJEM.COM.

,.

REWK.COM.

Or.

GUVL.COM.

Now that they are on the milliondollarhomepage..

If anyone else is interested, I'll let you know if I have much success...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably could answer your Godaddy question..

At first I was averaging around 1500 hits a day (when the GoDaddy site was new). Now, about 45 hits a day. Not bad for a single 10x10 space...

Just out of curiosity, what did the Million Dollar guy do to garner so much attention to his website in the beginning. Did he have to pay to advertise it, or was it all word of mouth, or what?.

I think it's a brilliant idea, although I don't think the fad will last very long..

But I was just wondering how he sparked enough interest in it to have people pay $100 a square in the very beginning?..

Pretty much 'right place, right time'. From what I understand, there was no advertising done. The word-of-mouth simply spread like wildfire since it was such an extraordinary new concept. Media picked up on it. Then many other media oulets picked up on the first. And the GoDaddy site is now generating around a half-million unique visitors per week.

Fantastic...

Yeah, that is fantastic. Well, he's made enough to pay for school a few times over..

Hope it continues for him...

Strange, that website was empty not but a few months ago..

I bet the majoirty are not paid, but to encourage more people to give away money to this kid..

Who knows, I could easly be wrong...

Has anyone here bought any pixels just to put a link to an affiliate on it? Have you made at least some of your money back?..

I wish I had the idea for that.

...... I need money for my POT ISSUES!!!.

I mean school issues I do too many sports to do drugs..

There is also another one, which is.

(work it out for yourself)..

I know of many who have paid (including myself). Any company in their right mind would easily dish out a hundred or more dollars to take advantage of the 500,000+ unique visits every WEEK. I know I've already made $235 in HostGator sales from advertising on the page. Minus the $100 leaves a profit of over $100. No great shakes, but it's $100 I didn't have before :-) And I'll have traffic for five years to come...

Good luck to this guy.

It is all over the uk news this morning so lots of advertising there..

I stumbled on the GoDaddy site when he had sold a few thousand dollars worth of pixels, and I read his stuff, and I think he's on a winner..

Of course copycats will start to pop up, but I tip my hat to him for being creative and original..

I'm sure just last week he had sold about $140,000 worth, and when I checked earlier today after the GoDaddy site got mentioned at another place that I visit he has $250,000+..

Mostly the GoDaddy site has spread via word of mouth, but of course there will be offline newspapers and magazines that will feature something like this, especially now that he's making money. intrigue breeds interest, interest breeds a small measure of success, and then that success breeds more success..

I'm happy for him. He'll be able to buy himself some really good socks now...

These are the stats that I got from statcounter.com..

I'm not total sure what the difference between unique and first time visitors are. With the letter G I am selling GUVL.COM and I think that I should have put a better HostGator like GGOY.COM or GUVV.COM (that I own) as it hasn't drawn as much attention. However, since I decided to sell it for $99 it has a lot more attention as buying it is now the cheapest way to get on the milliondollarhomepage. I'm selling UJEM and REWK for $149 and so I won't really make much profit but I'm happy with the advertising..

I think that my time to market them is when there is more pixels sold. 30% has sold so far and so I'm guessing that in a fortnight, my position on the milliondollarhomepage will be much more attractive as it is in the centre on the part of the page that is seen when the page is initially loaded...
