I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..
I have. People tell me I look younger now and I often get mistaken for either being a teen or in my 20's (I'm 36). People never believe that I have a son 16 or that I have 4 children and sometimes think I'm the older sister rather than the parent..
My husband also looks younger since we've been eating raw...you wouldn't know he was 46 by looking at him...
Thanks ladies. It's amazing to hear the strength that people have.. it makes raw look like a cinch..
I stopped AGAIN because I made two dinners and was really sick after each of them. I can't tolerate nuts..... and what is there if you remove nuts from the "diet". Fruit and vegetables only?.
I don't have the willpower and don't know that I even have the desire to eat only that forever...
Bellabella,.
Can you not eat nuts period or can you just not eat them in certain recipes/combinations? I've found that I simply cannot do cheeze sauces on zucchini (alfredo, etc.) but I can do nut cheezes spread and lightly dehydrated on crackers. I don't like nut-based things combined with Nama Shoyu/Bragg's either...at least not in large quantities...just a taste here and there is about as much as I can personally tolerate...not a whole dish or plateful in one sitting..
But I can do ice cream and shakes that have cashew cream blended in or I can do grawnola with nuts and eat that either alone or with nut milk, I can do soaked, seasoned and dehydrated nuts. I can also do nut-based salad dressings or nuts ON my salad..
You can also try seeds...many people use various seeds. But yeah, certain combinations just don't agree with me...some do and some don't...
Actually, Rawkinlocs, you sound quite similar to me. AFter being sick for nearly two days from this Pad Thai recipe, it took me a couple of weeks to get back to eating a single nut. So it was that and the Fettucini...I loved it at first, but wow, I was sick after. I think Granola etc. is fine...but the date nut torte...not good..
I guess I have just gotten really frustrated because I try my best, but then there's some ingredient missing when I thought I had them all. or even some small vegetable, and lots of spices I have never heard of and can't afford....even the dehyradtor...I'm trying to make crackers, but then Alissas book says to use "Teflex" sheets, or something? I don't even know what that is and I definitely don't have any..
I think it's just toooo high maintenance for me. I hate to have to get out the messy Medifast food processor (another story all on its' own...none of them work, and I have bought and returned twice..they just put all of the ingredients to the side and nothing gets blended...).
Sigh.........
I didn't have wrinkles or anything but the skin around my eyes was already starting to sag and now it isn't anymore...
Bella,.
Yeah, it can sometimes be frustrating but try keeping it as simple as possible but still with "some" variety. For example, you don't have to make a lot of fancy dishes, but find the staples that YOU like/love...one of our main staples around here is ice cream. Some prefer chocolate and some prefer strawberry so I make and keep both on hand in the freezer at all times or I at least keep frozen bananas on hand to make some up in a jiffy..
Also, we are big on shakes and taco "meat" on crackers..
Now if you have the round model dehydrator, when a Medifast recipe says "teflex" sheets, you use your clear, solid "fruit roll trays":.

I like the date nut torte, but can't eat too much of it at once...just a sliver here and there. But stick with what you have found that you like so far and rotate them along with fresh fruit and veggies and nuts and whatever else you like. I wasn't much into recipes at first either and a LOT of what I tried at first I hated or couldn't really tolerate but many of them after a while, I've tried again and now I like and even LOVE them. Not all...but some..
Hang in there!..
Interesting fruit roll thingey, but mine didn't come with that. And my trays actually have holes in them...so I put wax paper down on each one.... I don't even know if those will come out now, or maybe they will but it will take longer. That would be okay. But I wonder what to do next time? The flax seeds from the top tray just dripped down into the first one......
