Ye, but... you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else to confirm it as I am on the fence. Better yet, why don't you email the Dukan Diet guys because they can help better...
I think it looks even MORE yummy at that size!!!..
This looks delish...I am still new to this - can you list what we should count a bfast like this as? If I were to take a wild guess, I would say Dukan Diet entree, fruit, protein and 2 free foods? How did I do?..
The FF cool whip is a free food. Just to make sure I was telling you the right thing, I looked at the stats on the SF caramel and almost fainted and I feel bad for posting this now. IT is NOT a free food. SO I will be be using this sparingly if at all from now on. The pancakes however are so good with the cinnamon and nutmeg, SF Maple syrup or having them plain with the bananas and FF cool whip would be good too..
Heres the stats on the Smuckers SF caramel Sundae syrup:.
Per 2TBSP.
90 calories.
0g fat.
24g carb.
0g sugar.
0g protein.
Confused over the amount of calories seeing as it's made with maltodextrin, water, maltitol syrup, glycerine, sorbitol, non fat milk, whey protein concentrate from milk. sucralose and other ingredients..
UGH....Sad I'll have to eat my divine pancakes/waffles without the sf caramel but oh well..
Sounds divine! Maybe you could experiment with mixing some 0 calorie caramel-flavored syrup (the kind used in coffee) into regular syrup to use for this recipe?..
That's a really good idea. Maybe I'll try mixing SF maple syrup with SF davinci caramel syrup. The davinci syrup is very watery by itself. Thanks for the suggestion!..
Exactly! Or perhaps put the caramel syrup directly in the pancake batter?..
Ginger, this looks fantastic. And only 2 TBS. of Eggbeaters wouldn't even count as a protein. I have Walden Farms 0 cal. Caramel syrup. That would work too! Thank you for the great idea....might even work for pancakes. Never thought of using yogurt instead of milk...
Walden Farms Caramel Dip is actually pretty good by itself (the other dips aren't so good, IMO), and would work perfectly for this! It says 0 calories, but it actually is 4 calories per tbsp. I think we can easily spare 4 calories for this!!.
But I also like the idea of mixing Da Vinci Caramel Syrup actually into the pancake mix instead of the water!!!..
Well if walden farms can make a 4 calorie SF dip, why the heck can't SMuckers make their syrup less calories. Like I said I was shocked and didn't expect the calories to be that high (90 calories and 24 g carbs.
). Thanks so much for your suggestions. Going to Netrition.com now to put an order in for that Caramel dip/syrup! I like the idea of the davinci caramel syrup in place of water. too! Will have to play around some more..
I don't have any caramel davinci syrup, but do have chocolate, raspberry, and several others. I think I may try to make chocolate raspberry waffles this weekend!..
I am so asking Santa for a waffle iron for Xmas!..
*sigh* I need to get off the recipe boards. I came on here looking for one recipe that I wanted to try for breakfast this morning only to discover 2 more. Now I can't decide what I want!..
Alright. So I tried this one this morning..
Lacking a waffle iron, I made pancakes..
I used the da vinci instead of water in the batch. Also, I mixed a little of it in the regular SF maple syrup. I also used a regular egg white instead of the egg beaters. It was good. I'm sure this would have been an excellent breakfast had I not a) burned the poor things.
And b)forgot the cool whip.
!..
I think Walden Farms makes a caramel dip you may be able to use...
That sounds good!!! Let me know how they come out!.
LOL you crack me up...love reading your posts. Yeah the coolwhip with the nanas gives it a little extra something. The caramel topping though with it is to die for..
Have to buy some more of that. I got it months ago for dip for apples and stuff and not having the light bulb of creativity go off in my head NEVER thought of using it for something else. Got bored with it with the apples, let it sit in my fridge for a month or so ( how long are those things good for in the fridge anyway??) and then tossed it. Now I'm smacking myself in the forehead...
GingersJourney - Have you tried Capella Flavor Drops? They come in every flavor imaginable, if you're not familiar with them. Wonder how they'd be in syrup. Crazy person that I am, I have several different little jars, banana nut creme, pralines and cream, caramel, vanilla ice cream, etc., etc. but have yet to try them!!! They smell good.
Gaby..
Ooooooooohhhh no I haven't heard of those! Where do you find them? Are they like extracts?..
Waffles look good, making me hungry Mmmm =).
Will have to try them..
I use the drops to flavor my oatmeal...
COOL!!: Thanks for the link Wizzbomb~ I LOVE those waffles. It's my day off treat for breakfast!..
Ginger - Sorry I missed your questions. If you try them before I do, let me know what you think, ok?.
Wizz - How do you like the drops, in your oatmeal? What flavor did you use?.
Gaby..
