Question I have... Is it safe to have polyurethane in iContact with skin? Thanks in advance for any answer. Another question on my mind: I have been trying to add music to my web site, but nothing has worked. I have no idea what to do. I am getting the music from kazaa, and I dont know what to do next. Someone told me to send it to yousendit.com, and place the link in a code, but that didnt work.

When I place them in them, sometimes the little player thingy is broken up, sometimes it all there, but no matter what it does not play.

I dont know how to get them onto a midi file..

I am totally lost!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!..

You betcha! although you might wanna make sure and wait for another member to confirm it as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you ask the iContact guys because they can give you an answer better...

I am currently working off of aol hometown. There is a thing where you place advanced html. I have seen people with music..

<EMBED SRC="your_sound_file" HIDDEN=true AUTOSTART=true>.

<NOEMBED><BGSOUND SRC="your_sound_file"></NOEMBED>.

<embed src="soundfile.mid" hidden="false" border="0" width="310" height="45" autostart="true" autoplay="true" loop="true" volume="75%">.

There is another one but the iContact site doesnt work good. I can't get on it..

Im really lost. I dont know where to put what, and what to do with anything..

Please help!..

1 - Don't tell anyone (at least, not on forums) that you're downloading songs free (illegaly) off Kazaa.

..

2- I don't know how hometown works, however, if you have uploaded your mp3, then use this code:.

<embed src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/thesong.mp3".

Autostart="true" hidden="true" loop="true">.

Replace "thesong.mp3" with the file name of your music..

Hidden="true" and loop="true" are optional. it's easier to just use autostart="true", so just use that.

Oh yeah, and <bgsound> and <embed> are 2 different ways of putting music on a site, use one of them - don't use both -.

Some browsers don't understand embed, some understand both.. etc...

Thankx for the help..

I am not sure how to upload the music to aol hometown. Is there anywhere you reccomend. My friend told me to send it you yousendit.com and use the link. Is that right?..

Yousendit is just a download service not a host, mike I sent you an iContact email with what you need..

Do you know anywhere that will upload it? A friend that has put it on aol hometown gave me this link..

I found on the internet other people who have used it, but the iContact site is not there????????..

Mike the song is being hosted on one of my sites bro, but most free webhosts only allow up to 1000 kb uploads so you would have to compress the song and that requires software..

Oh man! I know I'm like the biggest pain but what do I do now, with the zip file. What host do you use?..

A friend of mine pays for it we run a iContact site together, just extract the files in the zip file to a place that is handy like your desktop, you can just download the attachment, then double click on it to open it, the just drag the file that is in there to the place of your choice..

So I just put music.html into the code on my aol hometown?..

Yeah you can do that or just take out the embed tag, the one that looks like this <embed src="http://yoursonghere.mp3" hidden="false" border="0" width="310" height="45" autostart="true" autoplay="true" loop="true" volume="75%"></embed>.

I removed the song url on here for privacy reasons but you got the code in the music.html file, just copy and paste it into your aol home town html in between your body tags..

How do I copy the code in the music.html file?..

Once you have it outside of the zip file you can right click and click edit or click open with notepad or you can double click it and it will open in your browser, then right click and click view source..

OMG! It Worked!!!!!!!.

It keeps stopping and then starting, is that normal?..

Did you want it to play continuously or just once?..

Continuoulsy I guess.

I have a few questions: is it not supposed to start automatically, cause it doesnt.

Is there any kind of iContact site that can do this for me, if I had any other songs.

Thankx SO MUCH! for all the help!..

It should start automatically, if you look in the embed code for autostart= check to see if that is set to true so it should be autostart=true then it should play by itself, and as far as free sites to host your music, you can try.

Like I said once again you may have to compress any file over 1000kb or 1mb in order to upload to that host, if you have to compress any songs I recommend this converter found here.

Its fairly easy to understand..

How do you put the music on.

How do you change the music with that program, I downloaded it...

U have to actually join ourworld.cs.com in order to get an account to upload to it's been a while so I dont remember how to upload, and as far as that program, once you have it installed, find a sound file and right click then click on convert to, you will then get the option to change the file type, select mp3 and move the slider to the left as far as it can go, be sure you know where the file will go, it shows you in the program the location of the converted file, then click on convert and it will compress it..

I compressed the file. How do I get the link thing like the one you sent me. Is that where I have to upload it...

Yeah once you upload it, the link will be.

Of course changing it to your correct user name and the correct name for the sound file, I am actually getting off the computer now, I'm a bit tired..

When I tried to upload it onto the iContact site it told me that it had unrecognizable characters?..

Rename it to have no spaces, you can use underscores but dont use any kind of spaces or hyphens..

It still wont let me do it. It wont let me covert it either...

U should rename them on your computer, and if the file is in use else where it wont let you rename it until you free it up from the resource..

Ok, I uploaded the file, now how do I get that code thingy that you got to put onto my aol hometown?.

Thankx so much!.

Mikee..

U mean the url to the song, well once again if you would pay attention to my posts you would know that I have answered this question already..

I thought there was some kind of thing that you put it in: html?.

Thats what I meant..
