That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could assist you..
Hey, I just got my.
Surgery.
Aug 6, and I know exactly how you are feeling! I had to wait to get my.
Surgery.
For 6 months because of my insurance requirements, and I was so excited and thought that those 6months would never go by....
But then it was like ok, now I'm gettting my.
Surgery.
In a week, and that is about when the excitement turned to panic, and uncertainty and all those other crazy emotions like fear and doubt. However I kept reminding myself that this is what I wanted and I had already worked so long and hard for it and I wasnt going to back out now!.
I wouldnt worry about it, because you will do great! It is a.
Learning.
Process for everyone, and all you can do is try and give it your best effort! Just think, this is probably similiar to the way you felt on the first day of.
School.
, or the first day on a new job, but you still went to.
School.
And worked!.
Have.
Faith.
, be strong and good luck! you will be in my thoughts and prayers!..
I was excited from day 1 bc I was fully confident with the.
Surgery.
..
I laid out all the worries and all the benefits, I'm a visual person..
Some things r out of our hands beyond a certain point. as for the travel...id plan on not doing much for 2 weeks...then you can rejoin the world lol..
Congratulations! I know just how you feel. I waited almost a year to jump through all the hoops and get my.
Surgery.
, and like you, I felt panicked right before. However, I tried to visualize the results and knew that this is what I had to do to get my life back. I knew it would be worth it in the end. I wish you the best of luck!..
Congratulations on getting your date. Welcome to the losers bench!..
Thanks for all the support. I've very glad I joined this site. An update... I was at the dr's today.. for my final meeting prior to.
Surgery.
He was able to talk me through the panic... Of course it was doubled as we also doubled up and did the EGD and colonoscopy at the same time... yikes! ( Note - the scheduling was my doing as I have to drive 6 hours for Dr. visits...)..
Just wanted to add.. I know there have been a lot of posts about pre and post op diets. I'm trilled to follow my nut program. They have had excellent results and they are fairly progressive. My pre op Medifast diet is a low carb high protein 1200 cal diet. Not liquid ....
I can handle anything for a week..... Just sharing yet another variation on the many and varied Medifast diet plans that are out there. As varied as the programs. Thanks again for the support as I proceed with my journey! Sharon..
Early is great, less time to stress. make no plans for at least a month. You need the constancy of a home base...Can't imagine travelling for 3-6 month!..
Take a deep breath! You will be fine! My husband and I went to the beach on August 1. His.
Surgery.
Was July 1! All went well. He was able todo most of the driving (even though I said I would drive, he likes being in control doesn't like to be with me when I drive). He played in the ocean, rode his bike, went kyaking with me. We just made sure to plan for plenty of rests along the way..
Stock up on what you need to have in the house and when you travel, take your supplements, and Medifast food with you. Pack a small cooler with the foods and things you will need..
Good Luck and Congrats!.
Laura..
You're Normal!!.
Panic doesn't even describe what I was going through before my.
Surgery.
How's this: right before the.
Surgery.
As I'm laying on the gurney in the pre-op room waiting for the orderly to wheel me down to.
Surgery.
, with the iv in arm and drugs in my system..... I'm thinking "What Am I Doing?!?!?!" As they are laying me on the operating table, I said I'm having second thoughts...... and zzzzz I went right to.
Sleep.
Woke up and said, "Wait, I need to think about this..." the nurse said, "Honey, it's all ready done and over. The hard part is past, welcome to your new life!" And, she was right. Best thing I've ever done for myself and would do it again in a heartbeat..
Best of all to you and take a deep breath, you'll do great...
