Quick question: Medifast? Does it work? Can I buy 100% real at Whole Foods? Looking forward for any comment. My other question... As far as I'm concerned, I have been having a flare-up since I was diagnosed. It seems as if I am always bleeding...is this the case with anyone else? Do some people just have diarrhea?..

It took me many tials and errors to get to where I am, under control, I'm afraid to say omission. Its hard to know what is a flare up. I have several "attacks" a day, I now define MY flares as several days of bleeding, not being able to.

Controls the bleeding for me, usually within a week or two. It really depends on the severity of the flare up. Do keep up with your GI appointments, it's very important to keep an eye on you blood work to ensure you are not becoming anemic. I'm speaking from experience here - when I was first diagnosed 12 yrs ago the bleeding had been pretty severe and I ended up having a.

Diarrhea and the frequency of bm's can also indicate a flare so yes I get that too - it's important to pay attention to your body - it may be providing warning signs..

Hey ya,.

Wow,I so know what that is like. I still get the occasional bleeding myself but not as severe as when I have a flare up. I suggest doing a diary too and write down what you've eaten that day and maybe start discoving what foods you are not able to handle and start eliminating them out of your diet. Everyone with IBD is different in what theyre able to eat. This could be your problem as to why youre having continual flare ups. A Medifast food that most of us are advised not to consume is diary products.

I was just diagnosed in '05'. Mine seems to be under control at the moment tho..

Good luck and I.
