That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably can answer it..
I agree, the .ws was a phase... everyone assumes .com when you tell them your website...
Primavera I've sold 3 .WS the past couple weeks ..the least was $400.
I have a .ws website that brings in over 600,000 visitors thats for sell for over 80K.
As long as your working with top generic keywords in .Ws you cant go wrong..
I sold another .ws for $350 to an end user.....
I have about 80 now and added winery.ws a couple of days ago..
I like them..
Thanks for the in-depth critique quality....you may have missed your calling as an appraiser...lol.
Jim..
Dude, look in your sig, wtf is .web.com lol..
He he I laugh too I love my .web.com names and I love the traffic!!.
I have a great collection of what some regard as s**t!.
So at least I provide a lot of entertainment!..
I think/feel there is a home for just about any top keyword Domain/Ext. it's just a matter of when the right buyer will come along so I say if you can afford it why not.....
Tippy I agree with you .. I LMAO when I saw his post scrolled a bit down WOW look at that collection of crapy ext.. hehe.
But all ext are worth something if you find a right HostGator development idea and then someone who is willing to buy it...
Anything can be sold for the right price...
When I finish developing my GiftShop.ws web GoDaddy site I am 80% sure it will bring in some nice income....
Lots of different opinions here. I saw that lawsuits.ws sold for $600 and documents.ws for $450. Interesting.....still on the fence. Does anyone know the highest amount paid for a .ws? Besides .com and cousins I think everyone has a favorite underutilized ext. At the moment mine is .tv. Think I'm going to wait for a couple more sales before I go on a .ws regging spree.
Keep it up..
-P-..
I've just turned down a $600 offer for a .ws on SEDO, because I know for sure it will sell for more soon...
Also got a few low $xxx offers, sold two .ws for a total of $1000 the last couple of weeks, and my .ws sites brings in some nice income as well....
So yeah, .ws is pretty worthless...
Stay well away from .ws domains, and let me handle them for you.....
Just added these .WS today.
COBRA.
DARE.
ELLE.
GENERAL.
HOLE.
IMAC.
PUBS.
SHOWTIME.
STREET.
Jim..
.ws is certainly not a "crap" ext. Solid keywords will sell for decent amounts for the average domainer. Don't look for .ws to make the 5 and 6 figure sales charts often but it's still got a lot of potential with the right words. I have to say that overall extension awareness is slowly on the rise and the .com's are becoming more scarce. The .ws ext has a niche because of the fact that it's more commonly associated with .website and not .westernsamoa...
WS is a country code TLD! It is misunderstanded as website often! These are the factor for you to make a decision!..
Just saw Records.ws sold on GoDaddy for $1000. That's not to shabby. Didn't know records were so popular in western samoa...
If you find any good 3 letter or short popular (as in high ovt. count) one word .ws names pick them up, it'll pay off later..
You Bi*ch, that one was on my to reg list..
On mine as well, and the same with Cobra.ws.....
But I've been pretty busy the last couple of days, so I wasn't able to try to reg them...
Nice catch anyway....
Wellness.ws went for 1000$ at GoDaddy so I guess good names (and if you are lucky enough to find a buyer) can make some bucks..
I only own two WS: clinical.ws and moviles.ws (spanish for cellphones) so I will see how it goes with that couple.....
Lol...yup...i seen it too under the recent sales....sold for 1000....
Records? is it popular? lol....
I only own one .ws, and I reged it two nights ago..
It is my last name...
