Quick question... Need to know an opt out iContact email marketing company. Thank you.? Hoping for any response. Another question... Hello, I'm new here.. I need help with code for navigation menu that will be visible/hidden on click..

I looked at another person's code, he used HTML only with tag combo..

For some reason it didnt work for me..

Here is the iContact site the code is taken from:.

Note: remove the "-" in the URL to enter the site.

You could see the navigation menu on the left side of the page..

Does anyone know a solution to create such item?..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at iContact as they probably know..

Hi there mantaray,.

And a warm welcome to these forums.

I tend to make my own scripts rather than modify others.

So you might like to have a look at this example of a hidden menu.....

Thanks Petervazed for treating.do you know the script to make this thing work?I have seen it working in the URI I have attached. For some reason it didnt work for me.What did you mean it doesnt work on netscape?.

Thanks alot to Coothead. The code you offered is working beautifully.i will try to play around it to see if I can create what I wanted in the first place, which is an item with a button, named navigation menu, that while clicking on the button will reveal the menu of all the links .to choose from.and on second click will make it hidden again..

Another thing is that I was looking for shorter code,as I have written at the original post..

I am new to this, but I would like to reach the stage of writing my codes ,rather then just copy and paste.I know I just have to keep on learning and be patient.but I envey you guys for the absolout freedom you have.i also must understand what I am doing, not just copy.so I am going to analise your code and see if I can use it,and wait for more suggestions.

Great Forum.I wish I had used it earlier...

Some scripts are IE only..

That's why you have to test your code in IE and Netscape or FireFox..

Especial if you use a stylesheet..

The code of coothead is working in Netscape...

Hi there mantaray,.

Here is the modified code using a button, which has been.

Borrowed.

From the link that you provided as I did not have the time, or the inclination,.

To make one myself..

I have removed the mouseover effect as it does not seem necessary, now.

That this button is proudly standing there displaying it's unmistakeable glory..

Thanks alot.now I have to play around it and fit it to my site..

I hope the absolute command wont disturb it working in both resolutions,as I made it flexable to be seen with out scroling in both..

But I will have to play and find myself..

Best way to learn..

Speaking of nav menu's,any suggestion how to make submenu droping down while hoover over the link?..

Hi there coothead,.

I have managed to put it in place, and no it does not fall if I change resolution..

How ever couldnt change the #link into table in which I will have each link in a "td" that will change color when mouse hoover over..

I have a proper java script to do it,i have all the pieces.

But unexperienced to put it all together..

Could you help?..

Hi there mantaray,.

You should not be considering the use of tables.

Tables are for data..

The links can simply be highlighted in this manner.....

Hi there CootHead.

Since I am new here ,this forum, and also new to this world.

And you were there to welcome me,and so patiently, handed me so appriciated help, and as you know the only one,i guess I see you as my mentor..

What I had in mind was a small box with a pressable button,.

That when clicked will drop down a menu of links that will be seperated by a line, border between them, with a colored background, and while hoovered will enlight,or change color, and add the line under the link..

This is why I thought of a table,or so..

As I told you ,i dont like just to "copy and paste"..

I love that stuff and honner it much to do simple cut and paste.so I know how to to do those 2 different objects, the box with the button, and the menu table, just dont know how to connect them to gether and make them work onclick..

I have this java code.

But as I said before cant get all pieces to gether,.

So,there you are.could you offer a solution??.

Thanks in advance and appology for the "tickling".

Mantaray..
