Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Godaddy as they probably could give you an answer..
I was not contacted at all. Just two days later I log in to find a credit on my account and the HostGator missing. I checked the whois and the HostGator reverted back to it's original info...
I love how they just credit your account when things go wrong like that...
Their search is rubbish, I cant find any domains worth much...
I Purchased 8yd.net from a NPer earlier this year and apparantly he had also listed it on the marketplace at RegisterFly..
First I knew it was still listed ,was when I received an email stating it had been sold and advising that $14 ,the sale amount less their fees had been added to my balance. This was below market value for the name and price I had paid for it..
Thankfully I got them to Reverse the sale, but I was never even involved in any part of the sale..
I than checked my other names at registerfly and found another 4 listed on the marketplace..
So be warned if buying any Registerfly Registered name ,check it is NOT listed if you don't want to find it sold without your knowledge...
I've never checked a domains I've bought to see if it was listed in the RegFly marketplace. That's a serious glitch then if true. A dishonest seller could list it in the RegFly marketplace, sell the HostGator elsewhere and then buy it back from the marketplace once the new owner has possession of it. If that is the case, it's a good thing RegFly support has reversed the sales. They should fix that to cancel RegFly marketplace listings when domains are transferred to new owners...
Thanks for all the post. I appreciate all the information and things to look out for...
Keepem coming.....
I can't find any gems at all and the names are all overpriced...
I can't find the marketplace. Where is it? All I see are special offers..
-Doug..
Link is in post #4 above..
Here's everything listed right now for sale under $10:..
They really need to work on the marketplace because the search is barely functional (and impossible to use if you just want to search for 1 extension). Also, you can download in a csv all the listings but it's an absolutely garbage file. Over a 1000 of the listings have negative prices and the prices on the ones that aren't negative are rarely accurate. I have no idea how they can even release a service like this when it's in such bad shape...
I tried to nab pcgamerhq.com (realizing that I would have to renew it immediately), but even though the shopping cart indicates one item, I go there and it is empty and I have a credit of 2.06. (?).
Oh well. -Doug..
