It depends on how much traffic you can get. And how the design looks and feels. There are some myspace sites that get a lot of visitors but the design and grammer really sux..

I guess thats how it it sometimes..

If you go in forums on your website Vbulletin $2xx etc. and hire a webdesigner or buy a template(~50-100$), Marketing will be the costliest part of your budget...

But try getting Simple Standards compliant Templates from OSWD.org which you'll be able to edit your self and make sure you got a good subject/ idea yo work on...

You can also do it with $0, but that way it will take a lot more time..

I would of thought that unless it's a really good quality website any new owner interested in the HostGator would want to build their own GoDaddy site anyway ? .

Yes, this is true, But again just depends on the name certain names need to be developed into websites in order to make a decent sale..

For example you most likely wont need to develope the word "dictionary" to make a good sale name speaks for it self..

Where as if you have a 4 letter "AGYW" obviously that may need a good developed GoDaddy site in order to make a high sale. Hope this helps..

Oh' and if you do wanna go with a cheap looking template have a look on ebay you can get them very cheap!..
