That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can answer it..

I made the "featured item"...mexican crab and shrimp salad, and just had it for lunch. Very, very good. The only things I changed were the amount of cilantro (recipe calls for WAY too much) and I added a little granulated.
Garlic.
To the dressing. I ate a couple spoons of the salad with 2 slices of avocado...really filling, lots of protein, and tasty!..
I tried the white chicken chili recipe from this site and it was delicious. I think their recipes are awesome!..
The white chicken chili is terrific. I really liked Shelly's recipe for slow cooker pot roast too, it's killer!.

Tonight I made the Maryland crabcakes, caprese-inspired chopped salad, and blueberry-orange custard. They were all really delicious (esp the salad), but the crab cakes fell apart on me. Not sure if they left out an ingredient or what. Maybe needed some breadcrumbs (shrug)...
I have tried the Chicken Parmigiana Tendersso-o good! Also she has a one serving chocolate cake. Between Susan Maria Leach and Eggface, we are not going to miss a thing, but the lbs. Deb..
