First question I got is What are some vegetarian Medifast recipes using any of the following fresh herbs? Hoping for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Hello,.

Just thought I'd share some a couple of ways to get in some ethnic foods without crossing the line....

I simmer cubed extra-firm tofu and simmered it in Trader Joe's Red Curry Sauce with a few greens beans, onions, cauliflower and sweet potato..

Last night I roasted chicken and tossed it in some cooked garbanzo beans and this great Indian simmer sauce by Seeds of Change that I bought at Whole Foods (Jalfrezi). I also made another sauce but just used veggies and it was a Korma sauce by Seeds of Change and had added steamed haricot verts & cauliflower, cubed and roasted summer squash, sweet potato and onions..

Now all my veggies are super soft and cubed really smalled so that I can chew 'em without looking like a cow grazing. The Seeds of Change sauces are definately more calories ~90 with less than 6gm of fat and less than 20 gms of carbs/sugars but honestly I only eat 1/4 cup so my body handles it without an issue..

If anything it's a nice change to my Medifast diet of greek yogurt ;) I'm alittle over 4 months out and can't really eat anything without nausea and discovered that tofu is soft enough, has a good amt of protein and I can deal with the texture and it gives me that ethnic Medifast food fix that I miss so much..

I found these great glass containers that are only six oz capacity so I fill 'em and freeze 'em and grab and go as I please. I only use a 1/4 - 1/2 cup so there's plenty of room to stir it up after heating and they are great for work!.

Best,.

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

Good tips. Tofu is a great idea. Haven't heard much about it here. I use to cook with it (on one of my diets). It is great because it picks up the flavor of whatever you are cooking with. Thanks!..

I just realized the recipe link I gave you has an extra step.. use this one, less steps, no frying..

Also, every.

Surgery.

Practice is different, but I was advised to not rely on tofu too much as it is one of the foods that can slide through the pouch..

Take good care,.

Hey Lauri,.

THANKS for the info... Tofu is my go to Medifast food like greek yogurt. I don't fry it, just cube it up and simmer it up with whatever sauce I'm using. I agree, it's kinda a slider Medifast food however, I've been struggling from day one so somedays I just need something quick, easy and easy on the pouchy :).

Have a good one!.

I found a spaghetti sauce that I put over frozen meatballs that is really great and low in calories and sugar. It is by Classico. It is with all the other ones like Ragu, etc. It even has less sugar than Ragu's Lite sauce! I think it is only 50 calories per serving. I get frozen meatballs at Walmart that have 13 grams of protein. They are small but I can still only eat about 4 with sauce, but muy flavorful! I sprinkle a little parmesan on top too...
