First question I have is What is an annoying iContact mailing list to be on? Thanks for any answer or 2. Another quick question... Due to a hack at the weekend I am having to rebuild my iContact website and this has caused an unplanned move from 2.2 to 2.3.1. I saved a backup of my database to the computer before my host zapped my iContact site and restarted everything. They assisted me in getting the dump back on to the iContact website today before I loaded OsC again. Thinking I was linking to it I put the database name in during the installation and of course my old one got overwritten by the samples in the installation.

Since then I have read some posts that say that there were changes in the database set up between the two version which sound as if I cannot simply bring in the old database. Can anyone advise on the quickest and most efficient way of of getting information on around 1000 line items and almost as many customers into the new database..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at iContact as they probably could give you help..

Thanks. In making sure the struck of the old matches I am assuming that I am matching the fields. Do I need to alter items within the fields such as vachar numbers?.

How do I change that.....many of the new tables have things set at vachar(255) where they had been lower (23, 64 etc). Also I've found one that goes from vachar(x) to text..

Hi guys,.

I have installed oscommerce 2.3.1 and would like to use my old database 2.2 ms2. I have configured includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php to use the old database but Im not seeing the changes on my new installation. Please need assistant...

Your old MS2 database is NOT compatible with the new v2.3.1 database. You will have to manually insert the old data into the new database making changes to the tables and fields as required..
