Question I have... What is the best Medifast diet plan for losing weight? Thanks in advance for any answer. Second question of mine... Ok so I am 6 weeks out and 40 lbs down. Today my daughter and I were out.

Running.

Errands and she got hungry. We stopped at a local take out place and she ordered a veggie burger with fries. I was not that hungry so I didn't order anything. When her Medifast food came, I took a small piece of her veggie burger (never had tasted a veggie burger before...very tasty). Then I decided to be brave and try a fry. I took one fry dipped the tiniest tip of it in ranch and ate it very slowly.

I stopped. I was satisified with those 2 small fries.....that has never happened to me in my entire life. The best thing was when my daughter said, "Mom, do you want more fries?" I told her no and then she said "Mom, I am so proud of you". It was like.....I really didn't need to eat any more fries...those 2 were enough to satisify me. Wow, maybe my outlook on Medifast food is actually changing...

You are brave to wander into "temptation land" but I am so proud of your ability to stop, and sounds like you felt satisfied too. I also loved FF, and wouldn't (yet) try them as I don't want to tempt a good thing. I do think many are able to limit themselves on rich foods, or high fat, caloric foods these days, just be careful as a sliver can become a slice, can become a slab and we become slobs. LOL.

I find that also, we don't need to keep eating and this allows to have a small sample without blowing the entire work we've done...

I too am satisfied after just a few fries...how awesome it is to feel in control and not order the "Biggie Size" and end up eating a weeks worth of calories in one sitting as we used to!!! LOL....congrats on another trip into the "outside world" and dealing w/ it beautifully!!!.

I have found the same thing. I do not deny myself. I have tried a french fry or two, a bite of ice cream and they were pretty good. But I found I was totally satisfied, did not want more and did not feel as if I had to do without for the rest of my life. I am 7 weeks post op and have lost 41 pounds and feel great. I am not able to eat much at all, but even if I was, I dont have to desire to do so!..

Good for you that you stoped when you were satisfied. I am glad you did because if you had not stopped when you did and continued you would have paid the price for over eating. Good for you...
