Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..

A recently new one for me, that is relatively easy to make though does take a days worth of planning because of the dehydrating, is the Crepes Medifast recipe in Alissa's book. Even non-raw hubby liked them. Made mine with fresh raspberries instead of strawberries. It's super YUMMY!.

Heather’s Tangy Taste Sensation Smoothie.

Approximately 1 cup of Blackberries (frozen).

3-4 slices of Peach (frozen).

1 peeled kiwi (fresh).

Approximately 1/2-1 cup of fresh Apple juice (to desired consistency).

Smoothie can either be consumed as a frosty drink,.

Or put in a bowl and topped with raw granola...

I make buckwheat granola for hubby. Soak and barely sprout buckwheat and sunflower seeds (out of shell, natch !). I use about 6 parts bkwht to 1 part sunflower seeds..

..

Soak raisins, dates, any dried fruit, and blend until creamy..

Process buckwheat and cunflowers seeds until chopped. Mix in date mixture, add sea salt to taste, melted coconut oil if desired, vanilla..

Fortunately, this can be altered in many ways and specific measurements aren't needed. I make a LOT at one time because it's easier to clean up the mess once..

Dehydrate mixture on mesh sheets until dry. It will be crumbly like granola..

ALSO...we make a raw oat flake muesli....you can ann whatever chopped dried fruits or nuts are desired. A large batch is mixed and then ready for eating anytime. My husband often eats is as a dessert if he's hungry after dinner..

Paul often has a fruit smoothie with the cereal..

I usually just have plain fruit salad, or mix up a smoothie. I don't like to eat fruit with anything else...it digests very quickly by itself, so I have it before any other foods. then, a bit later, a green juice by itself..

Actually, I do't think that any foods are forbidden for breakfast. I used to eat leftover pizza, casseroles, etc., as I really don't like normal breakfast foods...

Here's a good one that was posted a while back:.

Honey-Nut Cereal.

=============.

2 1/2 C whole buckwheat groats (unroasted).

Honey-Nut sauce.

4 tbsp raw almond butter (I used raw cashew and peanut butter as that is what I had on hand).

6 tbsp raw honey.

1 C orange juice.

1 tbsp cinnamon.

1 tsp nutmeg.

1/2 tsp sea salt.

Soak the buckwheats in 6 cups water overnight. Drain and rinse in a colander or strainer until the rinse water runs clear. Allow the buckwheat to stand for 10 min to drain well..

To make the honey-nut sauce: Mix almond butter, orange juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sea salt in a bowl. Place the drained buckwheat in a generously sized bowl. Pour honey-nut sauce over the buckwheat and fold with clean, wet hands or a large spoon until well coated. Spread the buckwheat mixture into a thin layer on nonstick sheets on dehydrator tray. Dehydrate at 108 for 12-20 hours or until dry. After 12 hours, remove the buckwheat formt eh sheets and return to the dehydrator for 2 hours or until very dry..

Also, sometimes I just chop up apples and bananas in a bowl, add some raisins and a large dollup of almond butter, agave to taste, dash of cinnamon and add a little water to desired consistency and stir it all up and eat! Or...of course you could use almond milk instead of the almond butter and water..

As for smoothies, my favorite is 2 bananas, 1-2 apples, a handful of greens (usually baby spinach, kale or parsley), and about 1/2 - 1 c. of water (depends on how thick or thin you like it)...blend that all and then I add a nice big handful of frozen strawberries and blend that in...

Shazzie has a Medifast recipe called 'pink porridge'. You blend soaked almonds with fresh raspberries adding a little water if necessary to get the right texture. As raspberries can sometimes be a little tart, I have added a banana to this. Also good with some vanilla or cinnamon. Yummy..

I just made Alissa's apple currant muffins and they were wonderful. My children really loved them. I did too. I left them in the dehydrator a bit longer though, I felt like they needed a little more drying time than the Medifast recipe suggested..

Also, my daily stardard smoothie is:.

1 banana.

Handful of frozen organic strawberries.

1 kiwi.

2 tablespoons of ground flax seed.

It really gets me going in the a.m..

Hope this helps!..

I have two favorites:.

Green smoothie with two bananas, juice of 2 or 3 oranges, 1/2 bunch kale and enough almond milk to make it liquidy..

Apple cereal: diced apples and walnuts in Medifast food processor with chopped banana, almond milk and honey-never tried vanilla or cinnamon, hmm...should try it next time!..

Seriously, thanks to all of you who replied! I'm going to try them all!!!!!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!..
