Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at 123 reg as they probably could help you..
What did you pay with? Try to do a charge back or PP dispute...
Woh.... you didnt say you had paid. Or atleast, I missed that part. Contact paypayl if thats how you paid, they will credit you back more than likely..
Justin..
Since you paid also be sure to reflect all this I his feedback- but you KNOW he will attack yours also..
Sorry to hear it.
Looks like just another Idiot on Ebay scamming people to me..
I wonder why people still quote how many results there are for un-quoted search terms on google also ... It means nothing at all - I guess it looks good to someone.
I wish I could give you some words of wisdom to resolve this , But Ebay/Square Trade/Paypal are all JOKES when It comes to Real Disputes IMO - The feedback system is a joke as well ....
Live and Learn I suppose..
Live and learn indeed, guess ill remember to use Sedo for important stuff..thanks for the assistance, trying to get my $ back using the paypal route....
If it was too good to be true AND the ebay seller has no history of positive feedback then it was a guaranteed not-going-to-happen..
What a dirtbag. I hate it when seller's don't put a reserve on their auctions and then are offended when the item sells for much less than they expected. If you leave a negative, they'll probably give you one back. The feedback system really is a joke..
I just sold 31 domains on Ebay about a week ago and they sold for $10.50 total. I didn't put a reserve because I wasn't going to renew any of them, but I expected more bidding, but reality is another thing. I pushed them all within minutes of payment. You win some, you lose some..
Yes....
Do a charge back and give him a bad tra rep...
And post more of his exploit online and tarnish him....
We need better contact and not those people who alter payment amount here and then..
Agreed...
In his recent listing here:.
Listing.
Lets view his incredible logic....
Sex.com ($14,000,000) -.
2. Business.com ($7,500,000) -.
3. Diamond.com ($7,500,000) -.
$14m+$7.5m+$7.5m =.
SexBusinessDiamond.com.
($29,000,000) Ebay 2007.
Ha, but can it all be so simple? Now thats what you call a swiftappraisal!.
But yes indeed, hopefully this is not indicative of ebay HostGator sellers...and much respect to the person who actually gave the domains he said he would in his listing...even given the circumstances..
Sorry to tell you Pay Pal does not reverse money for domains, as they say domains are not a tangible product...
Give it a try, you can still get the money back as you have not recieved the item, I have had a paypal reverse, minus a dollar, for a non tangible good after not actually recieve it, it takes a week for the complaint to go through as they give a week communication time for the seller to ignor you,.
Then they look into it, if the seller does not respond to the messages put him down and fight your case as if you were talking to the wall and you should get it..
There is a chance that you can get your money back from pp..
I'm sorry, but that guy is a complete moron. SexBusinessDiamond.com! What was he on?..
This is true but perhaps PP could make an exception....
Your best course of action would be to report the seller. eBay would more than likely ban the seller. He could set up a new selling account but that'd require a new bank account/credit card or whatnot...
I believe you can setup multiple accounts with the same banking/credit card info, the only thing that has to change is the email address. You never know paypal might not do anything, but the buyer might refund you if he sees the dispute...
Definitely leave him a negative feedback on ebay, for the sake of others at least so they know not to bid on his auctions...
Leaving him negative feedback, if he knows the system, will bring you negative feedback in return. If you want to sell with that account, leaving people negs, however much deserved, will hurt you. If you only buy with the account then explain in a business-like manner and most sellers will understand. Avoid threats and name calling..
Not leaving feedback will hold the possibility of a Neg over him, as well as holding him back from neging you. Although in this case it is probable he does not care. Report undelivered item to Paypal for a refund, if you paid with a credit card to Paypal you have a better chance because Paypal knows you can chargeback wth the credit card..
Ebay has a dispute process ("dispute console" on the left in "My Ebay"). Again, I doubt he will care very much, but 3 undelivered items and he is kicked out. This guy may not be clever enough to figure out how to get back in under another name...
Yes, this was also my line of thinking..One bad feedback will inevitably lead to me also receiving one..As I understand it the dispute resolution in this case would be an arbitrator to accept each site of the story ect..paypal wont refund without ebay's dispute resolution so it looks like chasing down your $ on ebay is more difficult.....
