My question is Would it be weird to make his baseball team Medifast cookies? Looking forward for any response. Second question of mine... I've been eating raw only now for 16 months (since June/July 2006) and until now I haven't really felt huge benefits, although I'm sure I would feel worse off if I eated cooked food. But I feel I'm still experimenting with the right balance of raw foods for me. For the most part of the last year I've only eaten about 25grams worth of greens a day maximum!! I usually would have so much fruit to fill me up with loads of nuts or seeds. Then a few months ago I decieded to try something different, and to up the greens to 130g a day..

But then last Friday (12th Oct) a week ago, I decided to really up things up and go for 400g and green leafy Medifast food a day, from things such as spinach, kale, red chard, pea shoots, lamb lettuce, watercress, red batavia, oakleaf lettuce, rocket etc etc.. and since then , 8 days later, I feel really good.. at times. It seems whenever I eat some green leaves or fruit, as soon as I'm grinding out out the juices in my mouth I'm instantly getting a small "high" from it, a tad lighter headed and more energetic feel in my head anyway. It's hard to describe. 16 months of eating all sorts of raw foods I felt nothing when eating foods, but since pounding my body with green leafy foods, I seem to get a light headed feeling whenever I'm eating a fruit and vegetable or anything!!I'm actually now feeling some effect of the Medifast food doing something. If this normal to experience? Was I not eating enough green leafy veg before?..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

Were you getting your greens from a bottle or supplement ?

Neither.

I've been eaten 400g of greens a day now for the last 8 days with fresh spinach, kale, rocket, watercress, pea shoots, lettuces etc all from the supermarket!Since I've started eating so much grens I'm starting to get a little light headed, or are they mini highs, as soon as I start eating any types of raw food, and this wasn't happening before for the past year when I had hardly any greens, maybe 25g a day max, and msotly fruit...

I would like to know is this normal??..

Not sure..

I personally can eat all the greens in the world and I don't feel any "healthier" but the only way I can seem to get a super amount of energy is when I fast. I feel so happy and light and energetic and I'm always go go go.. when I eat food... it's totally different. I wonder why that is. I am glad greens make you feel better. I wish they did for me...

I'm with you Trinity ~ when I fast it's like I am climbing the walls with energy. Hmmmm.... maybe I should fast again.... well, off to take a nap..

I've been trying to get up the courage to fast... how long do you both fast for and is is a juice fast, water fast? At what point do you feel energized during your fast..

I have to say, yesteray I went the until about 5:00 without anything to eat and felt horrible... pounding headache, could hardly lift my head.... I ate a few grapefruit and immediately felt better, headache gone..

So I am curious about fasting... do you bottom out before you reach that high?.

Thanks y'all.....

When you juice fast you don't have the headache from not eating and most of the time you don't feel hungry, at least I don't..

When I eat a lot of greens I feel a little light headed as well. I think I made mention of this before in another thread. Sometimes I feel as though I am floating. Not sure of the relationship besides the fact that you are not weighed down with fat and sugar, albeit raw...

I experience the same thing when fasting Trinity. I can't remember where I obtained this info, could of read it somewhere, but when you're fasting your body is resting from the digestive process. It's elated! The energy it would normally use in the digestive process is converted to pure energy for you you feel clearer, lighter, your lungs are having to work less to feed the blood etc, and you're living on pure fuel that your body is releasing, even in the midst of the heavy toxin release. Perhaps this also happens for some people who are eating raw foods. I do also notice that natural high feeling significantly when I'm fasting, but not so much from foods, with the exception of raw cacao...

This is incredible and thanks for sharing your journey. I wouldn't worry about if it's normal or not, it's your experience and it sounds like you were discovering which foods provide more energy for you. Instead of questioning your own wisdom, you should be teaching! I've learned a lot from reading your post and I thank you...
