I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could answer your iPage question..
This is posted in the wrong section, it should be under "Website Review".
I don't like the fact that you put the news in a text area. The rollover images take a while on dialup. And you need doctype and meta tags..
Looks pretty good over all...
Everything you need for the DOCTYPE and the META tags you will find here in the lounge, which as hockeyfan stated is not the correct place for a web-site review. maybe a mod will move this post to the correct place..
Error.
Line 64.
Char 1.
Error invalid syntax.
Code 0.

Again as hockyfan said about the mouseover images, they took too long to load on my 56k and anyone would wouldnt want to wait for those to load up would miss them completely.
A list of your errors is available here.
Not alot of really tricky problems from what I saw, a few ALT tags and a few missing properties but shouldnt be hard to fix..
I found out the error on your iPage site is to do with your drop down box, whenever I select END I get the error.
Not a bad iPage site design wise though, good job.
Joe..
Sorry, didn't know it shouldn't be posted here... I guess a mod can move it!?? um.. about the news, your the second person saying that, do you have any other ideas? about the rollover images, I had noticed that before, but I don't know how to fix it!.
Doctype and meta tags?? lol sorry, I'm not very familiar with html..
For the mouseover images, i'd like to fix that but I don't know how... about the errors, I have like 150 of them!!!.
Well, I'll try and fix all that... and about selecting end, I'll fix that too, if I can find the problem.
And I'd like to change the background, because I find that one looks gay, do you think I should put something more 'aggressive' or not? and about the picture in the top right hand corner, I didn't think it looked to bad (you know, the one written we dont put the garbage outside on it) but some people told me it was really ugly... comments on that?..
Why not just put in in your html? I did this on.
I have a section for news on there..
Add this above your <html> tag:.
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">.
And this:.
Meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">.
Between your /title and head tag...
You can optomize the images in a program like Adobe Image ready to make the file size smaller which will make it load faster...
But they are already JPG, how can I make them smaller? and I dont understand the code you gave me, what do those two lines do exactly?..
You can optomize the file size to make the file size smaller..
Those 2 lines of code tell the browser what kind of html and content is in the page..
Oh and is the page itself loading fast enough? and I have paintshoppro 7, can I optimize my files with that?..
Oh and that thread link you posted, I didn't understand everything everything, but I put the two lines of code you gave me in my code, is it ok like this?..
No, the meta tag goes between the </title> and <head> tag...
As if use a textarea ,Iframe!.
<iframe = news.html height = 100 width= 100>..
